OKVT's performance of 'Variety Live! (In Livingston)' delighted a capacity audience at Reconnect Howden Park Centre on Sunday, 27 April 2025,
With thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund we launched OpporCHANCEity Knocks Variety Theatre Company (OKVT), a theatre training project for adults aged 16+, with no upper age limit, in November 2023. Further funding from #nationallotterycommunityfund, The Robertson Trust and JTH Charitable Trust allowed us to continue OKVT to welcome new members and to develop the skills and experience of existing members. With further funding in May 2025, OKVT has now entered its third phase and looks forward to beginning work on a film, live performances and an appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026! Thanks to our generous funders, membership is free and no experience is required.
OpporCHANCEity Knocks Variety Theatre Company is a pro-am, amateur status variety theatre company that aspires to professional standards. Members work alongside theatre professionals in rehearsals and onstage, to develop skills in a professional theatre environment.
Our fabulous team at OKVT are welcoming new members to join our pro-am variety theatre company. No experience necessary, as At Home At The Theatre's highly skilled and experienced professional team will train you in performance and technical theatre skills. Banish stage fright forever and enjoy the limelight!
Training is completely free of charge and includes performance skills, sound, lighting, design, wardrobe and stage management and much more.
