At Home At The Theatre was founded by Sian Ross and Stephan Vincent. Since 2002, the duo have toured more than 4,500 variety shows to audiences in dementia care settings and the wider community. Sian and Stephan's unique brand of music and comedy has earned them an unrivalled reputation for audience engagement. Their personal warmth and sensitivity complement the sheer skill and energy of their performances and create an accessible atmosphere that makes audiences feel right at home - at the theatre!
Sian and Stephan have worked in theatre and television and are dedicated professionals. They have been a double act since 1998 and their range of skills include singing, acting, dancing, mimicry and clowning as well as a full range of theatre technical skills.
Sian Ross is a Master of Research in Performance, having previously graduated with 1st class honours from the BA (Hons) Performance at University of the West of Scotland (UWS). Her chosen study was participatory performance
co-created by people living with dementia in residential care, for which she won the UWS Award for Best Applied Arts. Prior to returning to higher education, Sian studied opera and drama at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, continuing her vocal studies with Joan Alexander in Glasgow.
Stephan Vincent is a Member of The Society For Theatre Research and has recently completed a Master of Research in Performance. He graduated with 1st class honours from the BA (Hons) Performance at UWS. Previously, he studied theatre arts at Langside College and acting at the Scottish Actors Studio and is an experienced lighting designer, theatre technician and lecturer in Television Studies.
